Days 1-2 / Milan
Arrive in Milan and settle into the five-star Rosa Grand hotel, situated behind the Piazza del Duomo. In the morning, venture inside the city’s hulking Gothic cathedral. Enjoy a Milan highlights city tour and see da Vinci’s revolutionary The Last Supper mural.

Day 3 / Milan — Verona — Valpolicella — Venice
En route to Venice, stop in Verona—the City of Romeo and Juliet—to see the sites and enjoy lunch at a historic wine estate owned by descendants of Dante. On arrival in Venice, enjoy a welcome cruise along the magical Giudecca Canal to San Marco then embark on River Countess.

Day 4 / Venice
Marvel at the magnificent Doge’s Palace on an early morning visit and experience daily life in a typical Venetian residential neighborhood. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic lagoon cruise with a sommelier’s notes on Veneto wines. Enjoy a welcome cocktail on the top deck with St. Mark’s Basilica as your backdrop, followed by a Welcome Dinner.

Day 5 / Venice — Chioggia — Polesella
Choose between a tour of medieval Padua, home to Italy’s second oldest university, or admire the views as you sail the lagoon to Chioggia to explore the authentic fishing town on a “Let’s Go” bicycle tour.

Day 6 / Polesella — Taglio Di Po
Explore Italy’s culinary capital of Bologna on a full-day tour that includes a pasta making workshop and lunch or explore Ferrara on a half-day excursion.

Day 7 / Chioggia — Venice
Admire charming and coastal Chioggia and enjoy a stop at the lively fish market where your chef will help you pick out the city’s best seafood. Take a bragozzo (small boat) for a ride through the canals or a bike tour along the harbor. Attend a private after-hours lighting ceremony inside St. Mark’s Basilica, schedule permitting.

Day 8 / Venice — Chioggia
Spend the day exploring the northern lagoon and its islands. Stroll through Burano’s rainbow of colorful homes and be treated to a special wine tasting on Mazzorbo before heading to Chioggia.

Days 9-10 / Venice
Join your chef on his visit to the lively Rialto Market to pick up local ingredients or take a water taxi to the Rialto Bridge and Fondaco dei Tedeschi and explore on your own. Disembark in the morning and depart for home.
