A Local Expert will explain how Giotto masterfully painted frescoes that inspired a variety of Renaissance artists before a visit to a local family-run olive mill where you'll follow the evolution of the olive from tree to table.

  • Day 5 / Tuscany – Siena – San Gimignano
Follow the shores of Lake Trasimento to the hilltop town of Cortona where you'll have time to explore at leisure. Continue on to the narrow, cobbled streets of Siena and explore the Campo and 14th century Town Hall with a Local Expert. Travel to a delightful villa near San Gimignano—your home for the next three nights.

  • Days 6-7 / San Gimignano – Florence
Discover the medieval skyscrapers and hidden squares of the medieval town of San Gimignano before sampling silky, frozen treats at the artisan shop of a world champion gelato maestro. See Giotto's bell tower, wander Piazza della Signoria and enjoy free time to shop for Florentine leather and gold. Journey through the Tuscan hills to Podere La Marronaia and savor a delicious farm-to-table abbinamento experience where each course is paired with organic wine produced on the property.

  • Days 8-9 / Venice
Descend from the Apennine Mountains to magical Venice. Wonder at the marbled expanse of St. Mark's Square, the Byzantine basilica, Doge's Palace and lofty bell tower. An unforgettable gondola ride will show you there's no better way to see the city than by water. The afternoon is yours to explore on your own. In the morning, transfer to the Venice airport for your journey home.
